Hi. My name is Paula Brown. I live in a suburb of Chicago and share my life with an incredible hubby, Kevin, 2 cats and 6 ferrets. All of my ferrets were adopted from the Greater Chicago Ferret Association shelter, where I spend my Thursday mornings volunteering. (www.gcfa.com) A portion of my sales go to help support the shelter and its residents.
I've been sewing since I was about 10 or so when mom helped me learn to make my own doll clothes. Through the years I've sewed for myself, my family, my home and my friends. I love fabric, sewing and dreaming up unique costumes and outfits. Add to that a life long fascination with fairies and fairy tale princesses. What else would I attempt as a home-based business as I look forward to retirement?
I would love to be the royal seamstress for your princess -- from christening gown to prom gown. I love girly girly outfits but I have mostly boys in my life. My daughter had 2 sons, one of them has a son, my two best girlfriends have 2 boys each. I need a little girl to sew for.
My goal is to make every little girl feel pretty and special, to encourage her imagination and to foster a positive self image. ONE GIRL AT A TIME. More now than ever we need empowered women in the world who have the confidence to think "outside the box" in order to bring creative solutions to an ever-changing world. That gift begins in girlhood. This is my small contribution and I’m proud of it.
